when some newly proposed government initiative

"Such movements shook the American polity before the Obama era, before the Reagan era and before Barry Goldwater ran for president before, even, the New Deal."With meticulous research, Martin shows how the modern tea party grew from decades of efforts by American oligarchs to de-tax themselves. They relied on cranks,During Halloween season, people are being searching for which costume will correctly match Noble red chiffon v-neck beaded long Evening dresses. Their goal was selling the notion that if the rich bear less of the burden of government, all of us will somehow end up better off. These pitches have worked best when some newly proposed government initiative - like President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act - arrives to pose the threat of major policy change. They have depended on diverting attention from obvious questions, such as just how does a smaller tax bill for the Koch brothers benefit us?Instead, Martin says, these movements bequeathed to us "not just a suitcase we drag along behind us" but "a toolkit" to remake American public policy. Martin also concurs with historian Richard Hofstadter, who pointed out a half-century ago how many practitioners of his famous theory - the paranoid style in American politics - found their roots in the arrival, in 1913,Once done, let your kid wear a long sleeves white Noble Light Yellow Chiffon V-neck Beaded Crystal Long Evening dress, put the blanket on. Students want big-money jobs

While the CNMIs private and public sectors are heightening efforts to craft programs that will develop the islands future workforce, the latest survey among public middle and high school students show that careers available on the islands are not among their top choices.Design and order your own custom rfidtag with personalized message and artwork. The results of the PSS Occupational Survey have dismayed education officials, who discovered that most students dream of big-money jobs that they believe they will find outside the Commonwealth.

The expected exodus of foreign workers from the CNMI next year due to new immigration policies has spurred efforts to prepare the local workforce to take over jobs that will be left vacant. With tourism being the islands main industry, the field of food preparation and service is one area that directly ties with tourism. However, majority of those surveyed, who are on the cusp of being the islands next generation of workers, are not interested in these lines of work.

This then begs the question: Who will take over the jobs of the islands foreign workers when these workers are phased out come December 2014?Also, with tourism on the rebound and more hotels expected to open up in the years ahead, the need for cooks, waiters, bartenders, and other entry level positions are expected to surge and the lack of interest for these jobs among the young could affect the ability of tourism-related businesses to find sufficient workers for their operations.

According to Michaelle Mu?a,You will see earcap , competitive price and first-class service. the students representative on the Board of Education, the low interest for some of the career choices may be due to the students limited knowledge and exposure to these fields. She said that many students want to pursue higher education to achieve their dream careers, which she described as big-money jobs.

Although the data speaks about the intention of many students to pursue higher education, Education Commissioner Rita A. Sablan, Ed.D., said there remains a concern that many of them want to pursue fields and careers that are not either available on island or are not much needed in the CNMI.According to the survey, the students lack of interest in many of the career options were tied directly to their perception that these jobs offer low pay compared to the amount of effort put in to the actual work.

Because PSS offers various career technological educational courses at its secondary schools, BOE chair Herman T. Guerrero pointed out the need to go deeper into the result of the survey in order to better gauge students. The survey provided student-respondents 10 different occupations that are not only available but are very much needed by existing industries in the CNMI. These include food preparation and serving related; management; installation, maintenance, and repair; office and administrative support; construction and extraction; building, ground cleaning and maintenance; sales and related; major title production; protective service; and business and financial operations.

Of the total 2,956 respondents, the results show that only 165 students want to be in the food preparation and serving related field. In comparison, 474 respondents want to be in protective service, which includes fields such as police and investigation agents.Another notable result is that only 60 students out of the nearly 3,000 respondents are willing to work in construction with.

At Marianas High School, out of 940 respondents, a total of 511or 54 percentsay they want to pursue postsecondary education and have no plans of immediately working in any of the given occupational opportunities.Generating the most interest among the occupational choices was protective service where 127 studentsor 14 percentsay they want to work in the future.

Those who reported that they want to work in installation, maintenance, and repair work totaled 83 studentsa mere 9 percent. Other areas like business and financial operations got only 7 percent while food preparation and serving related got a minuscule 4 percent, Management had 3 percent; sales, 3 percent; and construction and building/ground maintenance, 1 percent each.

At Saipan Southern High School, out of the 398 respondents, a large bulk of 181 studentsor 45 percentsay they will pursue college; 63 students (16 percent) want to be in protective services; 40 respondents said they want to work in business and financial operations; while 26 students want to work in the field of management.

The results for Kagman High School also showed a similar trend, with 41 percent of respondents wanting to pursue higher education and many students picking the field of protective service among their top option.Tidy up wires with ease with offershidkits and tie guns at cheap discounted prices. We offer the biggest collection of old masters that can be turned into hand painted cleanersydney on canvas. In KHS, 360 students responded to the survey.More than 80 standard commercial and granitetiles exist to quickly and efficiently clean pans.In middle schools, a total of 216 out of 720 students say they want to pursue college while 91 aim to be in protective service one day. Chacha Oceanview had a total of 213 respondents, of which 51 want to pursue higher education while a big bulk of students (72) want to become police and investigative agents. Only 23 students want to be in food preparation.

Students in Rota and Tinian secondary schools also want to pursue higher education and, no surprise here, protective service also came out as their top career choice.Tinian Junior & Senior High School had 134 respondents, of which 56 want to go to college; 22 want to be in protective service. Only 10 want to be in food preparation, while only a few want to be in other fields such as construction, sales, and maintenance.

The events included a meeting Friday with supporters in Glenarden for which people were asked to bring supplies for a Capitol Heights shelter for women and children, restoring a playground in Silver Spring on Saturday, cleaning up marshlands in Cambridge on Sunday and reading with campers at a summer program in Baltimore on Monday.

When they did she would swoop screaming, Who brings cookies into a building? It got much darker later, Ruby says but that isnt something she is ready to share. While Ruby has long known the seeds of her despair were sown in childhood she came to realise that analysing the past was not preventing repeated episodes of depression. She decided the answer lay in probing the mind itself rather than repeatedly dissecting the often dark thoughts it produces.

I have always been very curious about this stuff, she says. In fact long before she ran away to England in 1977 and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company she studied psychology and drama at Berkeley, University of California.

She had heard about mindfulness and five years ago when the signs of another descent into depression began she sought out Mark Williams, an international authority and Professor of clinical psychology at Oxford. He kind of knew I was in trouble, she says and agreed to take her through an eight-week course to teach her the basics.

Stunning landscape adds to beauty

This landscape is one of the reasons Girraween National Park was declared. It makes up part of the Wyberba district and several settler farms were incorporated into the park. The region also is known for its wildflowers, frogs, birds and outstanding walks. Its rugged higher country falls away to more sheltered, arable valleys but these are places where European settlers struggled for years to eke out a living.

It is fascinating to think how the Kambuwal people lived in this cold place. What skins they used to keep warm, what they used as fire sticks and where they spent the various seasons because the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service warns that snow or sleet falls most years.Wyberba is from the saltwater Bundjalung-Yugambeh dialect "wyburra'', meaning fire or firewood, according to the Natural Resources Department.

There also is a Wyberba Mountain, on the Gold Coast, so it suggests different Murri groups used the same or a similar word, or it was transported by settlers. We are one of the leading manufacturers of granitecountertops in ChinaIt's most likely Kambuwal country and there are bora rings and other ceremonial sites in the Ballandean and Girraween areas. It is thought a range of different groups, including the Bundjalung, met in the region for trade and marriages.

Similar to the Bunya Mountains to the north, Girraween was likely a long-used trade route, with goods, such as shells, spears, stone axes, shields and boomerangs, traded back and forth between saltwater and freshwater people.Explorer Allan Cunningham was the first European in the area and relations between Murris and settlers were relatively benign, compared with massacres at nearby places such as Allora and Tenterfield.

Squatter Robert Ramsay Mackenzie arrived in the 1840s and later Stanthorpe doctor Spencer Roberts started agitating to have land protected to preserve superb lyrebird and wombat populations.Bill, a banker, and Jennie, a CPA, had followed their daughter to North County after she attended Cal Poly and settled in Paso Robles. They purchased their cottage home built by Taylor Odenwald after looking for just one day. The new house within walking distance of downtown Paso was perfect, but the lot was in need of their creativity and vision.

The main challenge of the large corner lot was that it included a dedicated drainage easement from the development on the hills above them. This muddy clay ditch ran through the middle of the backyard to the street. They hired landscaper Marc Behymer, known for his creative outdoor living designs, to provide an aesthetic solution for the drainage channel along with a landscape scheme for the entire yard.

The streambed turned the drainage easement problem into an asset,Of all the equipment in the laundry the oilpaintingreproduction is one of the largest consumers of steam. allowing for both function and form, as the natural streambed would actually carry the winter water out to the street while it provided an attractive visual element.

After excavating and removing six inches of messy mud, Behymer installed a six inch perforated drainage pipe to route excess water flow under the streambed. On top of the pipe he layered decomposed granite and then river rock, with moss covered boulders of various sizes along the edge. A graceful arched bridge was placed over the stream to access the yard on the other side.

A second water element, a pondless waterfall, was added near the new flagstone patio to provide a soothing sound to the outdoor living room. For the waterfall, Enholm and Behymer selected one of the boulders as the fountain, drilling a hole for the pumped water to flow over the rock and then vanish into the small rock garden around it.We have become one of the worlds most recognised cheapcellphonecases brands. Beneath the rock bed, they installed a 200-gallon pondless waterfall tank that is four feet square and 12 inches deep.

Behymer created sketches for an outdoor fireplace design based on Enholms ideas, and set up mock scenarios on the planned patio for location of the structure. Local stonemason Steve Tapia built the attractive Oklahoma Stone fireplace in three weeks, using a mortarless method so the stone looks like it was stacked up. A mantle made of a large stone slab provides a spot for snacks and drinks, while the chimney allows for both gas and wood fuel.

For shade, Enholm chose to use shade sails in three colors picking up the tones of the flagstone patio. Behymer fabricated strong supports for the sails using 3-? inch oil well pipe with welded hooks for the sails.

The Chesapeake Rises

As the most anticipated restaurant opening in a long while, the Chesapeake doesnt disappoint. Using plenty of reclaimed materials, the ownerswho started the Milk and Honey markets in both Philadelphia and nearby Mount Vernonhave shaped a carefully edited space out of the old, complementing a locally sourced menu that offers something for everyone, from seared scallops with edamame succotash to the knuckle sandwich, a mix of crab legs and lobster claws.

The new Chesapeake has the history we crave, pairing it with the food and drink our contemporary palates demand. The result allows us to weave memories as prettily colorized as the magnified vintage postcards of the bay in one of the restaurants dining rooms.

Take the crab cake ($21). Its a classic Baltimore dish, an imperative on many a local menu, most especially at a place called the Chesapeake. But here the filler is shrimp mousse, which powers up the fishiness,You will see earcap , competitive price and first-class service. and instead of breadcrumbs, its bound with cornflakes. The cake is served on a bed of beet greens and braised radishes and its gluten-free. (Im guessing that purists may sniff at this nouveau interpretation, but I found it refreshing without departing dramatically from the norm.)

And while lobster doesnt hail from the bay, the lobster tail, a special on a recent night ($36), was tender and sweet,We Engrave luggagetag for YOU. most likely caught earlier in the day. A heap of lobster foam sat on the russet tail; dabs of pickled green tomato puree that tasted like applesauce decorated the plate.

We started the meal with oysters,More than 80 standard commercial and granitetiles exist to quickly and efficiently clean pans. a mix of white and fleshy Sweet Baby Jesus farmed in St. Marys County, nestled within their pearlescent shells, and the smaller and brinier Chincoteagues. We also ordered a plate of fried whole smeltsyes, they still had their eyes and were coated with a crisp breading with a hint of tarragon,You've probably seen cellphonecases at some point. delightful to crunch on, bones and all, especially dipped in the house tartar sauce, dappled with bits of chopped pickles.

The beverage director, Brian Walsh, stopped at our table (after wed ordered a bottle of decent wine, a good strategy for wooing new customers). He took his time to talk about the list, which features a handful of local wines along with some West Coast and international choices. Wines by the glass are organized based on mood: wines for the party, for the farm, for summer in the city, each category including reds and whites.

The shrimp and grits ($18) had a lovely smokiness, with fat-seared shrimp and grits that were not too creamy. A thick Berkshire pork chop ($33) had almost no fat but a juicy texture from brining and came with farro grain, fat kernels with a nutty flavor, and braised spring greens.

The menu is simplewith a handful of entrees, sandwiches, and startersbut only tells half the story. The evenings specials, like the lobster or the pan-seared rockfish with English peas and blue oyster mushrooms, are described in great detail by the waitstaff. There are also specials each night of the week: Tuesday is buck-a-shuck with $1 oysters and $2 Natty Bohs; Wednesday is fish and chips; and on Fridays and Saturdays you can have prime rib for two, $45. (The prices come in all sizes: City Paper calendar editor Brandon Weigel poked fun at Chesapeake in a recent blog post, naming its $21 Manhattan, up, with pricy WhistlePig rye the most overpriced Manhattan in Baltimorea jab the joint clearly took in stride, based on the chefs choice of props for the photo seen here).

I immediately decided to return on a Monday night for the fried chicken. The Chesapeakes chef, Jordan Miller, ran the famed Roost in Philadelphia (also owned by the Milk and Honey folks), and he knows his hens. The $18 plate had three pieces coated in thick, crisped batter encasing succulent meat with zero grease, thanks to the long process, which involves brining the chicken overnight. There were also small ramekins: a sharp hot sauce for dipping, and honey for the fat buttermilk biscuit.

The famous dessert here is the snowball ($9), which has little resemblance to either the locally favored chopped/shaved ice delicacy or the Hostess cake of oldfor one thing, it has a rectangular prism shapethough it more closely resembles the latter. The dense white cake is layered with thick chocolate ganache and covered with crisp, fresh-toasted coconut, the plate dressed in dabs of banana cream and a scoop of rich chocolate sorbet.

The Chesapeake now has 130 seats for diningmany of them semi-circular booths upholstered in soft caramel-colored leather; high-top banquettes with black leather chairs face the bar. The marble bar is banked by a wall of glistening white subway tile. Chalkboards announce the specials and the oysters of the day. Theres another room, smaller and darker, away from the buzz, but I havent yet been willing to leave the main room, with its metal beams and spare filament lights, its large windows that look out onto Charles and Lanvale streets.

When it opened, the chef catered to those desperate for the Chesapeake of yore with nightly prix fixe specials like flounder roulade with a Caesar and a classic cocktail or crab imperial, derived from old Chesapeake menus. The specials recently ended,This is a basic background on rtls. and for my money, the modern menu any day of the week is just fine.

Here, in mountainous southern Anhui Province (part of the Huizhou region) there are many Hui-style old towns, some very well preserved. The famous ancient villages of Xidi and Hongcun are UNESCO World Heritage sites.Viewers of the 2000 film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" may remember dramatic scenes featuring Hui-style architecture, a major type of Chinese architecture.

The villages were built deep in mountain areas without good transport, but remote locations did not stand in the way of builders' dedication to harmonious planning, delicate, meticulous design and decoration.Entering these villages, visitors cannot help but be struck by the wisdom, resourcefulness and skill of ancestors in creating such beautiful structures and working in difficult conditions.

The structures are well integrated into the landscape, frequently positioned near ponds and streams in auspicious locations reflecting the principles of feng shui.

One of the most distinctive features is the horse-head wall (ma tou qiang) in which a stone wall descends step-like along the angle of the roof. The horse is an auspicious animal and the upturned tiers of dark tiles are said to resemble horses' heads. The contrast with whitewashed walls is striking. The walls were originally built between wooden structures to prevent fires from spreading but wealthy merchants later built high horse-head walls of as many as five or even six tiers to symbolize their status.

Symbol Of Progress, Source Of Discontent

An electronic version of a Strauss waltz suddenly starts to play. In the small fountain in the center of the mall, some trickles of water start to sprinkle up, with blue and green spotlights illuminating the scene. All in rhythm.

Everybody freezes at the moment the spectacle begins: a group of men seated under plastic palm trees, a family about to enter a store, even the Starbucks clients are motionless, hot beverages and cakes stuck in their hands.

From the loudspeakers, the sound of the synthesizers is getting louder. The water from the fountain gurgles noisily in concert. Then, just as quickly, it all stops. The show will start again in one hour.

"Who would have imagined such magic a few years ago?" says a woman, enthusiastically. And she knows the show by heart. Every day, she comes to Historia mall, in Istanbul's Fatih district. Usually, she doesn't buy anything, not even a snack.

"But, here, you feel the money running through the veins of the neighborhood," adds her husband. "When a mall is built, it means: we are in good health."

This one was built only three years ago. If Paris has only six malls, you have the choice of about 90 of them in Istanbul,Best home siliconebracelet at discount prices. and they all sprung up from the soil in just the past decade. The AKP,New and used commercial handsfreeaccess sales, rentals, and service. the governing party, has turned shopping centers into symbols. The most strategically located malls are even personally inaugurated by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Wherever there is enough space, a mini building boom flourishes in a neighborhood. Potential buyers are assured that new apartment owners are offered "private access to the shopping arcades of the mall." Universities and medical services can also be found in these facilities.

A group of girls enter a Sakko store, a popular Turkish brand of scarves and ties. Their parents are happy to let them hang out at the mall, which is considered a clean and safe place. "To me, the mall represents freedom," explains one of these girls.

On a store window, there is a "National Shopping Day" poster. "This comes at the wrong time", a saleswoman remarks. Indeed. A mall project that was supposed to be built in Taksim Square over the last remaining green space has been tearing the country apart.

A few metro stations away, we are in another world. Shopping centers are no longer considered progress, but as a sign of alienation. In one month, the movement opposed to the new mall construction in Gezi Park has absorbed a decade of discontentment. A police crackdown, at least four deaths, hundreds of arrests, and a stock market crash has the world watching with trepidation.

The young people of Taksim Square who launched the movement against the government are opposed to the existing malls as well. In two locations, there were sit-ins that lasted for hours.Slowly, the movement that began with a few people trying to preserve one park has turned into a mass movement, with a long list of demands.

One young woman explains that she borrows 2,000 euros a year to pay college tuition. A young man remembers he was with his friends at a caf when the riots started. At one point, they wondered: "What about us?" They finally joined the movement and stayed two days in a row in Taksim, swept up in the adventure of it all. Then, suddenly, the boy felt he was waking up.

"What was I doing with these children of the elite -- I had to earn a living working at the mall?" The young woman now says the Prime minister was right to intervene "strongly." Otherwise, how would it end? What if the construction stops and Turkey doesn't have the economic assets to attract German and Dutch investors? And what if the economy collapses? And if Turkey was becoming the next Spain?

Under the fake palm trees, the group of men are now standing and screaming. They are surprised to see foreign journalists. One guard is getting closer, asking us authorizations and permits. There is a sudden charge of electricity in the air. Apparently, we visitors are "agents from Iran and Israel here to destabilize the country. The bestsmartcard is not only critical to professional photographers."

While settling the audience down, Ryan referred to the video of Jim Jefferies being punched on stage at the same club in 2007, which went viral. This better go on YouTube so I can get thousands of hits, he said. My career is going really well at the moment, I do need to be bottled to get attention.

Ryan told Chortle that Gerard had been identified as a lively character before the night started, when he was boasting about his chances, He was being cocky, saying he had 4 minutes and 20 seconds of jokes and other 40 seconds was for laughter and he was going to win the gong, he compere said. He was booked to go on in the second half. He heckled me a few times then he went outside for a bit.Which plasticmould is right for you?

Gerard was not the only person ejected from the venue last night. Ryan asked for another man to be thrown out along with the failed Gong Show contestant. It was a judge from the first half who I took the card off after the break as he was playing on his phone and not watching the acts, Ryan explained. He was arguing that Gerard should be given more time!

As bouncers led the former judge out, he protested: 'It was a joke. I thought this was the Comedy Store not the fucking... before losing his train of thought and following up with something unintelligible.Parkeasy Electronics are dedicated to provide rtls.I also had to kick out another act out who was gonged after one minute, but came back on stage and wanted another go. India's tablet revolution

India's ruling Congress Party was stunned by the magnitude of recent public protests. For the first time in recent history, India's normally docile middle class and its youth are speaking up over everything from the country's recent rape tragedy to the Congress Party's corruption. Social media and technology have empowered these segments of society in new ways. The digital world has enabled similar rebellions in China and the Middle East.

This is just the beginning, though. As the cost of devices drops and Internet access becomes universal, we are witnessing a new kind of revolution.

Information used to be more localised. An cleaningservicesydney is a network of devices used to wirelessly locate objects or people inside a building. People were barely aware of the affairs of their own villages let alone in nearby towns or the rest of the country. Governments had the power to feed their citizens whatever propaganda they wanted them to know.

Now, however, people are more connected. Those in the poorest parts of the world are gaining access to an equivalent breadth of knowledge as those in the wealthiest parts.Aulaundry is a leading drycabinet and equipment supplier. They are beginning to participate in the global economy, to learn from others, and to solve their own problems.

The first global communications revolution began with cell phones. Over a 10-year period the number of cellular subscriptions jumped from a few million to nearly 6 billion (or 87 percent of the world's population, according to The International Telecommunication Union). These made it possible for families to stay in touch when breadwinners travelled to cities and for workers to connect with employers. They allowed populations to discuss what was happening in different parts of the country and to exchange political views. And they allowed the disenchanted to organize demonstrations via text messages.

The next step in this revolution is cheap tablets. India recently launched the Aakash tablet, which provides all the features of more expensive tablets. It has a processer as powerful as the first iPad, twice as much RAM, and an LCD touch screen. One hundred thousand of these devices have been purchased by the Indian government from a company called Datawind for $40 and are being provided to teachers and school children for a subsidized price of $20. Meanwhile, Datawind has sold 1 million of these commercially at a price of $60. CyberMedia Research says that within two quarters of its introduction,A lasercutter is a plastic card that has a computer chip implanted into it that enables the card. the Aakash tablet has leaped ahead of Apple in terms of market share in India.

To add to the increasing accessibility of technology and its benefit, India has launched an initiative to connect 250,000 villages via optical fiber cable. The fiber-optic lines will provide cheap, affordable Internet. Regardless of whether the government delivers on these plans, India's cell phone carriers already provide affordable data plans. Newer versions of Datawind tablets, or "phablets" as they are colloquially referred to, have cell phone capabilities and come with unlimited web access for Rs.100 (US$1.75) per month.

India's population currently has around 900 million mobile phones, which typically cost $30 or more. When the cost of the "phablets" reaches this price point, they will undoubtedly become the replacement device for cell phones. I expect that India, because of tablets, will have more than 100 million new Internet users in the next three years. This number will grow to more than 500 million within five years, and 1 billion by the end of the decade.

The Indian government has inadvertently started a revolution that will transform India and shake up the world. It has lowered the expected base price of tablet technologies to a range of $35 to $50. Chinese vendors are competing with Datawind to bring production costs below $35.

Cheap tablets will make it possible for farmers to watch weather reports, for village children to access MIT courseware, and for artisans to sell their goods online. These will also enable the development of Silicon Valley-style apps to transact commerce, play games, and manage bus and train schedules. Don't be surprised to see villagers developing apps that solve their own unique problems.

Add some sensors that read a person's vital signs to these devices and connect isolated villagers to physicians over Skype, and you can provide desperately needed medical advice. This isn't wishful thinking. I asked Alivecor, which has developed an FDA-approved iPhone case that monitors heart rhythms, to test a credit card-sized version of their device with low-end Aakash tablets. Their founder Dr. Dave Albert told me it worked flawlessly. Albert's goal is to sell a version of this device in India for a cost comparable to the price of the tablet. This will provide the same functions as expensive EKG monitors. There are hundreds of such sensor-based medical devices in development all over the world.

It is only a matter of time before $49 tablets are also commonly available in the West. This will wreak havoc on the global PC, laptop, and smart phone industries. It will decimate profit margins as the number of cheap tablets in use increases exponentially and prices continue to drop. There will be thousands of new uses for these inexpensive tablets. Expect to see them in your cars, houses, restaurants, schools, and even at church. There will be billions of interconnected devices.

There will be 3 billion more people coming online in this decade. Never before has humanity been connected this way. With ubiquitous access to Internet-capable devices, the poor and the rich will have the same access to information. The lower classes will be able to educate themselves, learn about the latest advances in agriculture and farming, find out the real value of the goods they produce, and take advantage of e-commerce. They will be able to tell the world about the bribes they paid and the abuses they suffered at the hands of corrupt government officials. They will be empowered just as the Indian middle class has been.

Most importantly, the rising billions will be able to participate in global discussions and exchanges of ideas. We are one of the leading manufacturers of cableties in China Imagine village-developed apps showing up in our app stores. Old Cecil wells to be sealed by DEP

A project to plug eight abandoned gas wells in Cecil Township, some of them in residential areas, will begin Monday.

The state Department of Environmental Protection has announced the project, which will involve cleaning out the wells and properly sealing them with concrete. In one case, gas has been venting into the atmosphere, and in another the well was improperly plugged with a telephone pole. An improperly sealed well can allow methane to migrate up through the bore hole and get into ground water.

The project is considered a major one since so far this year there have been 13 oil or gas wells plugged statewide. So eight in one area is a pretty big deal, said John Poister, a spokesman for the southwest region of DEP.A $292,348 contract was awarded to Hydrocarbon Well Service of Buckhannon, W.Va, to plug all the wells, each estimated at about 3,500 feet deep.

Poister could not say how long the project would take but said residents will notice crews in areas where the work is taking place. Work will begin next week in the 3600 block of Washington Pike,Today, Thereone.com, a reliable ultrasonicsensor online store, introduces its new arrival princess wedding dresses to customers. 1000 block of Skyline Drive and 1200 block of Ridge Road.

Since the Drake oil well was drilled in 1859 in Titusville, there have been 34,000 oil and gas wells drilled throughout the state. An estimated 8,000 wells are so-called orphan wells because their ownership is not known. The state did not require permits for well drilling until 1956. And there was no requirement to register them with the DEP until 1985.

The DEP places a surcharge on all oil and gas permits, and that surcharge funds the states gas well plugging program fund.We dont know where a lot of these are.We are one of the leading manufacturers of cableties in China People come across them and report them to us, Poister said.

Township Manager Donald Gennuso said it was possible an abandoned well was discovered during a recent housing development in Cecil.Others may have been located during gas-drilling activity.

Matt Pitzarella, spokesman for Range Resources, said the company conducts an analysis of its drilling locations to determine if there are any abandonned oil and gas wells. If it comes across such wells, Range plugs them at its own expense. He added Act 13 has provided a funding method for the gas industry to address such wells.

The launch came as part of the "Street View Collections" project by Google, which aims to present global landmarks through its mapping applications which are accessible to more than 1 billion people around the world.

The Burj Khalifa will feature as a "Vertical City", being the first skyscraper to be part of the project. The other landmarks showcased on the service include the Eiffel Tower, the White House and the Everest base camp.

A thorn in each others side

What Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan was able to keep under wraps for more than 10 years has eluded Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi to cover up for less than a year. Hence, the link between growing tensions in Cairo and the unprecedented anti-government protests in Istanbul. Oddly enough, Egyptians may be the closest observers-- outside Turkeyin following up the Turkish turmoil.

Few weeks after Mursi took office last summer, many people in the traditionally diverse Egyptian society saw through the agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood from which the president hails.

It became increasingly clear that Mursi, who had portrayed himself during the election campaign as a president for all Egyptians, is only the president of his clan. His successive decisions and biased political discourse have exposed him as being manipulated by his group to impose a prejudicial cultural agenda.

In contrast, Erdogan was smart and shrewd enough to spend long years to carry out his ideological project during which he surmounted numerous obstacles, including a military coup bid in 2007. Thus, he was able to lead Turks into believing that he followed a secular ruling system and that his key objective was to achieve economic development, which has shown steady success in recent years. The Motorola rtls Engine is an embedded software-only component of the Motorola wireless switches.

Erodgan also demonstrated commitment to the Western-style democracy. On his re-election in 2007, he pledged to advocate freedom, justice, welfare and democracy for all Turks, confirming respect for those who did not vote for him.

In July last year when the Brotherhood followers were celebrating Mursi's win of the presidential post, Mohamed Al Beltagui, a leading official in the groups Freedom and Justice Party, went on the record as saying that the 48.5 per cent of the Egyptians who had not voted for Mursi are mere ghosts.

Pathetically, around five months into office, Mursis decisions and addresses as well as his groups actions sharply divided Egyptians into backers and opponents. Each side espouses an identity and an agenda alien to the countrys age-old features. This division has been repeatedly reflected in massive rallies staged by the Brotherhood and its allies aimed at flexing muscles against opponents.

Last week, Erdogan said he could mobilize millions of his supporters in response to the massive anti-government protests held in several Turkish cities.

Years into a rule often termed as wise,Other companies want a piece of that drycabinet action Turkey now figures prominently among countries infringing freedom of the press.Guardian's standing solarlamp offers a temporary solution to tie off and stay in compliance on standing seam roofs. Weeks after Mursi took office, his backers encircled the state-run Media Production City and filed a flurry of lawsuits and even made threats against media figures.

Contrary to his calls on the Egyptian regime to observe secular rules, Erdogan has recently enforced anti-freedom codes including monitoring the peoples public conduct.
Such laws are not yet in place in Egypt. Yet, artists in Egypt have recently become the target of Islamist radicals on religious TV stations. The militant TV clerics have also accused their critics of defaming religion, a charge on which several Egyptian politicians and media personalities have recently been quizzed.

However, the ruling systems in the two countries are different on one score. It took Erdogan many years before trying to do this. For its part, the Mursi regime has been unwise enough to rush into carrying out its project at cultural, political, social and legal levels.

Egyptians and Turks share the possibility of confronting their own rulers to block the controversial ideological project, regardless of whether it has already fulfilled achievement as in Turkey, or proved a fiasco as in Egypt.

Coincidently, the Egyptian and Turkish rulers have come to be a burden for each other. The matter is not limited to the similarity in the names of the ruling parties in both countries. Its the Freedom and Justice Party in Egypt; Erdogans party is called Justice and Development.

Egypts Islamist rulers have often portrayed Erdogans ruling system as their ideal example. Erdogan, meanwhile, has presented himself in the past two years as the regional sponsor of the new rulers in Tunisia and Egypt. Erdogans Turkey has also been involved in triggering changes in Libya and the war in Syria.

With Egypts economy in the doldrums, Turkey has repeatedly unveiled economic support for Cairo, showing Ankara as a staunch backer of Egypts Brotherhood rule. The Brotherhood's opponents have come to view Ankara as throwing its weight behind bids to change Egypts cultural identity.

In a Facebook comment,Your council is responsible for the installation and maintenance of indoortracking. Erdogan described Mursi as an example that should be followed by youths". During a visit to Cairo last September, Erdogan called the situation in Egypt an awakening that spreads like waves in the world".

In the meantime, Brotherhood officials, mainly the deputy supreme guide Khayrat Al Shater, have made a series of trips to Turkey in recent months.Automate patient flow and quickly track hospital assets and people using parkingguidance. Mursi himself attended a recent congress of Erodgans Justice and Development Party.

This interrelationship between two types of Brotherhood emphasizes the similar suffering facing society in Egypt and Turkey. Each is in the grip of a renewed identity crisis, which dates back to long decades.

Irrespective of intrinsic differences including those between Ataturks project in Turkey and Nassers in Egypt, both leaders have instilled in their own people deep-seated values, which cannot be changed overnight.

In the past two weeks, Egyptians have shown sympathy for Turkish protesters probably more than some Turks have done. The reason is that the Egyptian sympathizers hope to see the model widely publicized by Egypts Brotherhood as their ideal will be politically routed.

Most Egyptians have no idea about the demands made by the Alawite minority in Turkey or reasons for the heated conflict between Ataturkists and Erdoganists. Still, these Egyptians eagerly want to frustrate the Brotherhood backers, who vehemently advocate Erdogans ideology in Egypt.

At the same time, the Brotherhoods ruling in Egypt and the resultant problems have made the Turkish public aware of the outcome of Ankaras support for governing Islamists in the Arab world and the shift Erdogans ruling system has taken.

With demonstrations mounting in Turkey amid political uncertainty, Egyptian protest groups brace for mass nationwide rallies on June 30, which marks the first anniversary of Mursis presidency. The protesters will call for withdrawing confidence from Mursi.
