In her petition to the court, Pate described being shackled by her son's threats and behavior."For the last two years, he has continued to harass me with imprisonment in my home and threatening language to include 'If I weren't on probation I would...kill you,'" she wrote in court documents.She described a violent young man with "shady friends" who refused to leave her home at her pleading and would steal her possessions. Pate installed a special lock on her bedroom door to provide her with a "safe haven."
"My son has exhibited this type of holding me hostage behaviorwhen's he's angry or can't have his way," Pate wrote. "I consistently fear for my life based on my son's behavior and lifestyle."Police do not know what time she was killed Monday morning, but Everett Pate who lived at his mother's spacious home with his girlfriend is suspected of using a knife to puncture his mother's body multiple times and letting her bleed to death.
Before he left the home, investigators say, Everett Pate and Ellis tried to scrub the place clean. This effort of donating school supplies through the STUFF the Bus supply drive benefits all of the Florence School Districts.
"I've seen the need within the community for the stuff the bus. Bravo as a company, has been in full support of the program since it's initiation. We thought that this year again, we were a good match to partner with them," said Elaine Dean, Co-Owner of Bravo Party Rentals in Florence.Drop off locations include the Florence County United Way Office located at 1621 W.
